Political memory matters.

AfroManifesto is an independent, pan-African archive of political party manifestos. We preserve the documents parties publish when they seek office.

Elections pass. Records remain.

Every five years a country votes. Every cycle, manifestos are written, distributed, and forgotten. We preserve them.

An archive, not a commentary.

We collect and preserve political thought from across the continent. We do not interpret, endorse, or rank.

WHAT IS A

Manifesto

A manifesto is a formal, written commitment published by a political party before an election. It sets out what the party believes, what it promises to do if it wins power, and what it is asking you to trust it with.

When a party publishes a manifesto, it is making a promise to citizens. This archive exists so that promise is never easy to forget.

It is not a slogan. It is not a speech. It is a document — made in public, on the record, before you vote.
